A few pics from a wedding at the Westin at Galleria Dallas. It was a long night but oh so much fun. The wedding was shot with jimmages. They are so much fun to work with, I had a great time and can't wait to do it again.

Invitations, Weddings, Work...Oh My.

I'm so excited. I finally got done with the wedding invitations. I'm so excited about them. I hope you guys like them too. Let me know what you think.

Also, at the beginning of this week I was officially accepted for the second photographer position at jimmages. They are going to start offering me as as second photographer at the weddings they are shooting. I helped at a couple of weddings a few weeks ago and it went went really well.

Here are
a couple

in Sherman.

And below,
the wedding party
did an
excellent
job of
decorating
the
get away car
and
it even
spread over
to some
decorating
on the church.

I'm even going to get the chance to use some of there equipment. Here is the camera that I will be using some for the weddings. Hopefully I'll get enough photography gigs to where I can buy my own.

I'm also helping out a company called tru identity. I did one wedding for them and am lined up to do more. The girl I'm working with is so cute and so much fun to work with.

Also, I'm getting really excited for this weekend. My grandparents are coming down for the first time. The house is still pretty clean, but will still need to be picked up some. Thankfully, Jeremy has Friday off again, so he can help me get stuff ready.

It's also the last weekend at our church building. Jeremy will be helping with the service in removal of some item for the reconsecration. I'll be taking some pics, so look for those soon.

Stayin' Busy

So I've managed to stay really busy this week, especially these last couple of days. I got all my grocery, finally and our kitchen has managed to stay pretty clean all week. Today I got all the outside parts of the wedding invitations done that I'm working on. I'm so excited about them. It's amazing to think how far I've come since I did my own wedding invitations a few years ago. I'll try and post some pics of them when I get them done for you all to see. Hopefully I'll be able to get them all done this weekend and get them sent off to the bride early next week.

I'm also super excited about Sunday. Some of my family from Kansas will be swinging by for a quick visit on their way south. Considering Jeremy and I have been in our house for a little over 2 years, we still have almost nothing done in the way of decorations and still such a mess, this kind of scares me. Luckily, Jeremy will be off work tomorrow and hopefully we can knock a lot of the cleaning out. This will also be super helpful considering my parent and grandparents will be coming down in a couple of weeks. My grandparents haven't been to the house, and I'm guessing it should be pretty clean considering my mom has already starting asking if we've been cleaning...she knows us far too well. I'll let you know how it goes.

Time Well Wasted?

So yesterday I went all the way to Ft. Worth to fill out a job application. I was really excited about the prospect of being able to work with animals. The place I applied at was the Humane Society of North Texas. I had e-mailed them last week regarding a position they had posted. I received a phone call asking me to come in and fill out an application. Upon getting there, I told the person at the front desk that I had spoke with someone and that I had been requested to fill out an application in person. The front desk person didn't seem phased by this, handed me an application which I proceeded to fill out. I then received a phone call this morning asking me to come back in for an interview. The interview seemed to well. This time and gas seems to have been a waste of my time though. At $8.00 an hour, 45 miles away and having to work weekends...Jeremy and I think that it's just not going to be worth it. I make more on unemployment than I would make at that job. I could find something with the same opportunities working closer to home.

I wouldn't have a problem working on the weekends if I could get some off to continue the wedding photography. I love doing the wedding photography and really hope that things will pick up with it. And I love working on the wedding invitations that I've done also. I'm going to finishing up the ones for my cousins wedding soon and I'm going to work on some for a friend from college. I just need to find a way to make a living at it. What I would really like to do is start my own business. I'm tired of talking about it, I really want to do it, I'm just scared, mainly about the taxes but also about not having a steady income...now.
